Tavern Talks in the Bailiwick, Sun. Oct. 12th, 1-3pm @ City Tap House

Ho there!

I wanted to remind the world that we will be holding Tavern Talks in Ivyeinrust this Sunday at a pleasant pub in West Philadelphia, the City Tap House (citytaphouse.com). We have an interesting slate of talks.

1) Brunissende Dragonette will be talking about common mistakes that cause armorial returns and how to fix them.
2) Osric will be talking about modern brewing methods in what will be the first in a series of talks on brewing by a number of different local brewers.
3) And I will be talking a little bit about tablet weaving and looms for narrow-wares.

We’re going to be at City Tap House, a pub/restaurant in West Philly. It is located on the north side of Walnut Street between 39th and 40th Streets, on the 2nd floor balcony of the Radian Building. Enter through the street-level door between Capo Giro and Jimmy Johns and take the elevator to the 2nd floor. It’s tucked away, but this allows them to have a whole roof worth of pleasant open-air fire pits. Please see following the main text for directions!

Also note, there will be Pumpkin Ale tasting festival going on, so it will likely be crowded. We may end up outside at one of the fire pits. Please bring a sweater just in case there is a breeze, but otherwise the weather looks good!
