On Sunday, September 13, 2015, you are all invited to join the Bailiwick of Ivyeinrust for our monthly round of conversation on diverse topics and enjoyment of the extensive beverage list (including non-alcoholic beverages as well as many beers). The food menu is pretty tasty, too!
Mistress Scheherazade al-Zahira will discuss her research on the history and use of coffee during the Renaissance time period.
Where: City Tap House (citytaphouse.com), located on the north side of Walnut Street between 39th and 40th Streets, on the 2nd floor balcony of the Radian Building. Enter through the street-level door between Capogiro and Jimmy Johns, and take the elevator to the 2nd floor.
When: Sunday, September 13th, 1-3pm.
PARKING:
There is metered street parking on the blocks around the restaurant, and FREE street parking (even on the major streets) once you are as far west as 42nd Street. Please pay attention to signs for loading areas, driveways, hydrants, and other impediments to free and easy parking.
There is also a pay parking lot on the northwest corner of 40th & Walnut (entrance on Walnut) attached to the Fresh Grocer, but it’s a little pricey.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:
Very easy to get to via SEPTA. Take the El to 40th and Market and walk south to 40th and Walnut, or take the 21 bus to 40th and Walnut. Always close to the trolleys and other buses.
