Unto the populace of the Barony of Bhakail does your Chronicler, Lord Martyn de Halliwell send greetings,
The February issue of The Salamander is now available at www.bhakail.eastkingdom.org/newsletter.php
This month’s issue includes two articles, one by Meesteress Annetje van Woerden on The Historical Uses of Apples and another by Lady Siobhan inghean ui Dhonnobhain on the Kitchens of Neunschwanstein.
I’ve done some light re-formatting this month, and I would encourage anyone interested, to send feedback to chronicler@bhakail.eastkingdom.org your assistance in improving your local monthly newsletter is much appreciated in advance.
This month’s Business Meeting covered several important topics. The Old and New Business sections are located on pages 19 & 20 and topics covered include the deposit for Yule Revel 2014, a bid submitted for Yule Revel 2014, the Bhakail Bardic Champion Announcement, and several topics related to Buckland Cross as well as the Wrightstown Faire demo.
We passed the additions to the Chronicler Policy and the policy has been printed in its entirety on page 24. The proposed Knight Marshal’s Policy was tabled to the March Business Meeting, and is printed on pages 22 & 23.
There’s a Court Report for Fighting Fencing & Food as well, it is on page 21.
I will be posting a supplemental issue with information on Baroness Philadelphia & Lady Xanthippe’s Bhakail Yule Revel 2014 bid later next week. If anyone else has another bid prepared, please send a courtesy copy to chronicler@bhakail.eastkingdom.org by Wednesday the 26th of February if you’d like it published in the supplemental as well. Any message ahead of time to let me know to make space, is very much appreciated.
In service to the Barony,
Martyn
