Greetings!
Be it known that the Ministers of Arts & Science in the Barony of Bhakail, Shire of Hartshorn-dale and Shire of Buckland Cross have conspired together to host a regional A&S Social for citizens and friends of the East! All are welcome to join and expand the bonds of friendship on Thursday March 27 from 7:30-10p near the Willow Grove. Share your passions, be inspired, get assistance, enjoy good company!
We will begin the evening with lightning talks. Do you know a little about an art or science? A lot about a niche topic? Come and give us a 5 minute presentation (slides not needed!) on the topic of your choice. We hope to use this format as a way to give new presenters an opportunity to give it a try, to give experts a forum to share and generate new conversations about their areas of interest, and to give listeners a chance to learn about something new. We will hear as many as are willing, and spend the remainder of the evening socializing and projecting. We have secured a room in the Community Center at the Willow Grove Giant for this first meeting. They generously allow non-profit groups to use the center at no cost, but as you might expect, we may not bring in outside food. You may slip downstairs to the store or cafe and bring any food to the room. The rooms are like a business conference room, with tables, chairs, screens and equipment. We have chosen this site for its central location among the three territories. A link to the Google Map is below.
