On Saturday, 8/20, 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Bailiwick of Ivyeinrust is excited to present “Thélème at Penn” – a free day of learning to be held in the Rare Books Library at the University of Pennsylvania, 3420 Walnut Street, Philadelphia PA.

This SCA event is in modern dress because the researchers will be using all the modern tools of the presenter’s art, and the interested general public is encouraged to attend.

Several rare medieval/Renaissance manuscripts relevant to the event’s classes will be available for attendees to peruse. There is limited space for any of these rare manuscripts to be available for the event, and they must be requested in advance. Suggestions on which of the collection’s rare books and manuscripts are first choice to be made available for viewing should be sent to the event steward, Dame Brunissende Dragonette, at mathilde.poussin@gmail.com.

More information on this free event can be found at: “Thélème at Penn” Ivyeinrust website and “Thélème at Penn” East Kingdom event calendar webpage.
